Business Analyst

Our client in the telecommunication, Cloud - Based services sector is seeking a talented Business Analyst to join their team.

Responsibilities :

  • Play a central role in the team by working directly with the business/technical users to gather business requirements and translate to technical specifications.
  • Elicit process requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, content, task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the business need to deliver a strategic VoIP Service platform.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal business users to analyse information needs and process requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: Business Process Documents, Use Cases, Solution and Interface Design Specification Documents.
  • Act as an internal consultant across the business to help collect ideas and define requirements
  • Gathering and documentation of requirements, and provision of a plan/specification for implementation of Prototyping of specification
  • Handover of specification to development, and recursively working with the development team in an agile manner
  • Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of solution architects, project managers, business owners
  • Develop all documentation according to IS standard templates, using natural language.
  • Collaborate with architects and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs
  • You will also be responsible for research and recommendations of business process improvements and be expected to work with the developers to design and enhance existing software solutions.
  • Improves processes and systems by studying current practices; designing modifications. Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
  • Be the liaison between the business teams, IS delivery and services teams and vendor implementation teams. Recognise areas for improvement & communicate them to management within the continual improvement process

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidates Will have direct experience of working within VoIP/Telecom industry either as a client-facing consultant with a recognized systems integrator, consultancy or as a Business Analyst within a software house.
  • Experienced in Business Analysis Methods and Delivery, including requirement scoping and high level solution design
  • Experienced in designing Business Cases, Stories, UML, UserCase, etc. and write clear business process documentation
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements & specification documentation.
  • Ability to determine, develop and document data requirements, modelling assumptions using Structured Methodologies & tools
  • Extensive experience working on Software Development and clear understanding of SDLC process
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and analyse complex application systems issues
  • Experience in delivering Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design & modular development methodologies
  • Experience in designing REST (API) based software solutions
  • Have experience designing and delivering ERP, CRM, Order Management, Provisioning, Billing, Support Systems, etc
  • Have the ability to deliver wide ranging software development/integration projects which cover back-end, front-end, user management platforms
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements & specification documentation.
  • History of continuous improvement efforts and a demonstrated willingness to adapt to and learn new business processes and IT technologies.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure while maintaining positive interactions with peers and business users.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
