Accounts Officer

Our client, a leading company based in Malta, is currently seeking an Accounts Officer to assist the finance department in daily tasks.

Responsibility: 
  • Book-keeping including posting of sales and expenses, invoices, posting of bank transactions and journal entries
  • Carrying out bank, debtors and creditors reconciliations
  • Carrying out VAT reconciliations and preparing VAT returns
  • Assisting in the preparation of tax, social security returns and other statutory submissions
  • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management records and accounts
  • Taking the responsibility for Petty Cash payments and the accounting of them
  • Issuing payments according to company policies and procedures
  • Taking the responsibility for credit control and chasing of debtors



Requirements:
  • Fluent in both English and Maltese, written and spoken;
  • Must have at least 1 year experience in a similar role;
  • Accounts A Level  or preferably in the initial stages of ACCA;
  • Computer literate;
  • Self motivated;
  • Capable of working within a team.
