Tour Operator Sales Manager

Our client in the Hospitality industry is looking for an experienced Tour Operator Sales Manager to join their team.The chosen candidate will be responsible for attracting new Tour Operator Agents and maintaining relationships with existing agents for maximization of sales.

Responsabilities:
  • Communicating competitor information and market share analysis within the designated market segment 
  • Compiling and negotiating Tour Operator rates for allocated clients
  • Developing new Tour Operator products and actively engage in promoting and selling them effectively across the three properties
  • Developing and executing the sales and marketing strategy for the hotels’ and in conjunction with the Area Director of Sales
  • Coordinating any agreed marketing and promotional activity within the scope of the sales and marketing strategy
  • Planning and hosting targeted familiarisation tours to hotels
  • Being aware and knowledgeable on changing market trends
  • Contributing to the search and development of all potential markets and maintaining files on prices and facilities of competitive hotels.
  • Updating of relevant dossiers and upkeeping of client database
  • Representing the hotels at national and international fairs and attending relevant sales trips

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a five-star environment in a similar role will be an asset
  • Knowledge of Opera and SFA systems
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Hotel Management or equivalent
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be fluent in Maltese and English (verbal and written)
  • Possess good negotiation and analytical skills
  • Have a positive attitude and can work with minimum supervision
  • Be highly organised, meticulous and able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
  • Be conversant with all MS Office applications
  • Portray a professional image commensurate with the values of the Company
