Sous Chef

Our client in the hospitality industry is currently looking for a Sous Chef to join their team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Reports directly to the Head Chef and assists in supervising the functioning of the overall kitchen employees, facilities, and costs to reach the maximum profit
  • Provides functional assistance and direction to the kitchen operation as assigned
  • Coordinates functions and activities with service section
  • Establishes and maintains effective interdepartmental working relationships and employee relations
  • Create training plans and conducts on the job training sessions for kitchen employees
  • Assists in liaising with the Purchasing Officer in determining the minimum food par stocks 
  • Ensures the completion of the market list in accordance with quality and quantity standards
  • Inspects all perishable food items received for quality


Requirements:


  • Knowledge in cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene
  • Knowledge in controlling and analyzing the quality levels of production and presentation of menus 
  • Experience in merchandising and marketing
