Sales & Business Development Executive

Our client in the Aviation industry is currently looking for a sales & business development execustive to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Pro-actively promote and sell routes, fares and services by telephone, email, and other communication channels
  • Manage group requests and group bookings
  • Determine and facilitate familiarisation trips for promising agents
  • Request ticketing plates for new agents as part of the business development of the job
  • Analyse the status of travel and identify top sellers in the different European markets
  • Develop a sales and marketing plan in close collaboration with Marketing department
  • Liaise with travel agencies, tour operators and special interest organisation to retain and reinforce ongoing business
  • Develop advertising relationship with top tour operators and finding new advertising partners
  • Closely collaborate with marketing department to develop new business by identifying opportunities
  • Crafting adds, and identifying advertising opportunities in well-known travel trade magazines for maximum exposure in the European market
  • Craft and send out regular electronic newsletters , and review success in the bulk mailer’s analytics
  • Handle media releases  and prepare them for  forwarding to European media contacts
  • Motivate tour operators and travel agencies to create new offers for their market
  • Edit sales presentations to suit separate countries
  • Send and monitor requests for filing of net and marine fares for top selling agencies all over Europe
  • Closely monitor performance of the different European markets and act where needed
  • Observe competitor activities
  • If needed, assist IATA agencies with ticketing and BSP matters referring to the support centre
  • Research new agencies and opportunities to develop business
  • Maintain a high level of product and destination knowledge
  • Record all sales activities in SalesForce or a similar application

Requirements:
  • The applicants must be willing to travel frequently for business purposes
  • Have a Travel Agency or Airline experience required preferably in a sales role
  • Have an excellent level of spoken and written English. Any additional languages will be considered an asset
  • Be determined and target driven
  • Be confident, able to work independently using their own initiative and highly organized
  • Have a strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess good PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Be proficient in Amadeus
