Procurement Officer

Our client in the FMCG industry is currently looking for a Procurement Officer to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Review purchase requisitions collected by various departments and obtain the required offers
  • Review the product specifications to determine realistic criteria and, if appropriate, suggest alternatives / changes that match the request
  • Research and select local or overseas suppliers and procure materials, supplies and services cost-effectively within the approved price range and estimated delivery time
  • Ensuring competent quality execution of all regular purchasing and administrative work in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Monitor and coordinate the delivery of purchased items
  • Maintain fully updated data and prices in the company's purchasing system
  • Create reliable supply sources and backup sources to ensure uninterrupted production
  • Prepare reports, summarize data, and reproduce shopping reports for management review
  • Maintain a current filing system at prices and suppliers to ensure immediate and accurate access to information
Requirements:
  • A level standard of education
  • 3 year experience in a purchasing environment
  • Communication and negotiating skills
  • be ICT literate
  • a science/engineering background would be considered favorably
