Project Manager

Our client in the hospitality industry is currently looking for a project manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly inspecting managed property and providing advice and recommendations on its improvement, maintenance, restoration and upkeep
  • Assisting in determining the feasibility of internal projects and assisting in preparing cost estimates
  • Handling the daily as well as the overall management of projects assigned to the Employee, through all design stages from concept to construction, finishing and handover
  • Generally performing project management duties and supporting & assisting other project managers as may be assigned
  • When required, drafting and compiling comprehensive programmes of work relating to all phases of project delivery and constantly updating same in line with the exigencies of works
  • Coordinating site logistics, monitoring progress, certifying payments and managing the variation process
  • Handling cost/budget control, producing project delivery budgets and managing and reviewing such at all stages from procurement through to project hand-over
  • Procurement: defining and implementing best strategy in line with company requirements, design development and market resources
  • Value Engineering: Managing the process with internal client, consultants and contractors to achieve budget
  • Environment Health & Safety: provide management and implementation
  • Quality Control: Implementation of relevant systems for contractors to follow



Requirements:

  • Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
  • Ability to develop good working relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organised and efficient, having proven project management skills
  • A problem solver
  • An effective team leader with a strong background in management
  • Proficient in ACAD and preferably photo shop
