Bus Driver - Public Sector (Non-EU Applicants Welcome)

(23/01/2018) We are seeking to employ a number of bus drivers who have a passion for driving and who wish to grow in their career. Responsibilities:

  • Transporting passengers along scheduled routes around Malta
  • Following precise schedules and adjusting their driving according to traffic and weather conditions in order to arrive at each stop at the designated time
  • Ensuring the safety of the passengers and third parties
  • Maintaining orderliness among passengers
  • Keeping the bus in a safe, working condition
  • Issuing tickets & ensuring that passengers swipe their bus cards
  • Reporting mechanical issues or delays
  • Guiding passengers in their travels as required

Requirements:

  • To have been in possession of a Category B Driving Licence for at least one year.
- Full training will be given to obtain D licence 
- In order to obtain a D licence you will need to have been a resident in Malta for at least 6 months.

OR
  • Already be in possession of a Category D Licence
- Training will be provided if necessary to optain the CPC.
  • You must have a basic competence in spoken English (B2 or better).
  • You must be over 21 years of age
  • As part of the application process you will be required to:
-Submit a police conduct and 
-Pass a medical examination
-Undergo a driving assessment

Are you a foreign national or Non-EU national looking to move to Malta?

A relocation package will be provided for those moving to Malta from abroad including accomodation for first three months & flight reimbursement up to €150.
The company is willing to ensure a smooth transition to Malta. Transport we be provided from the airport and on the first day of work, as well as assistance with all logistics in relation to obtaining required work documentation.
This includes obtaining a work permit where necessary (non-EU), registering with the Maltese tax authorities, obtaining a residence permit, social security and any other related requirements.

Foreign applicants will be requested to provide the following:
- Photocopy of a valid Passport
- Valid Driving Licence
- 3 Passport sized Photos
- Clean Criminal Record (current) from country of origin (a stamped translated copy in English has to be provided as well).
