Application Support Officer

Our client in the finance industry is currently looking for an Application Support Officer to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing, coordinating, monitoring and tracking event messages or service requests from the beginning to the resolution of service within agreed service level agreements
  • Planning, testing, measuring and improving the quality of the Bank's products, developed and developed using appropriate testing techniques and tools
  • Support the end users of the bank
  • Ensure that all incidents and service requests from customers / end users within the agreed operational / service levels are promptly and effectively handled
  • To investigate and diagnose the cause of an incident and develop solutions or workarounds to ensure that the impact on operations is minimized
  • Monitoring the frequency, status and speed of resolving reported incidents and service requests
  • Demonstrating all features, installing and installing desktop systems, products, services, and upgrades
Software Testing
  • Assess risk potential using test results at all stages of the development lifecycle
  • Definition and implementation of software test policies, standards and procedures for software development and implementation
  • Ensure compliance with software testing guidelines, standards, and procedures
  • Perform installation tests for new versions of the new / existing software
  • Development of test automation solutions and maintenance of test data as needed
  • Planning, preparation and execution of tests on all aspects of the software product, including functional, non-functional, regression, load, volume and component tests
Performance Management
  • Measure IT performance in providing / delivering projects and services to its customers / end users
  • Create periodic performance reports
  • Analyze the performance of IT projects and services and coordinate corrective actions where and when they are needed
  • Submit reports and / or manage projects and activities that are run from time to time
  • Ensure a high quality / standard of work and service
Requirements:
  • Practitioner’s certificate in IT Service Management 
  • Certification in software testing
  • Banking experience including SWIFT and SEPA payment processing
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge in testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work long hours, travel and be on 24/7 on-call
