Fund Accountant
Our client is a leading Investment Advisors & Stockbrokers in Malta established more than 35 years ago. Their portfolio includes Bonds, Shares, Funds, Treasury Bills. For their growing operations they need to hire Fund Accountant.
The accounting role lies primarily with the Fund Administration sector with involvement in treasury management.
This role will include on the job training and amongst others the selected candidate will be required to perform:
- NAV Calculations
- Reconciliation of security holdings
- Valuations of securities held
- The setting up of chart accounts for new funds
- Liasing with fund managers and Auditors
- Statutory Reporting
Besides being bright, positive and flexible, the prospective candidate should:
- Be qualified in Accountancy or in advanced stages of obtaining a recognised accountancy qualification
- Have a minimum practical experience of 1 year
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Have excellent organisation and communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
