Assistant Systems Accountant (Malta)

Our Client leading iGaming operator is looking to hire for their office in Malta Assistant Systems Accountant.

Position Purpose:    

To provide systems support within the Finance Team both in Malta and other Company sites

 Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Provide first line support for of all the group finance systems including SAP BOPM, SUN, Vision, IPOS, Flow Centric, expense@work, time@work, Cognos, RBS Bankline and Kontrolla Document Scanning.
• Maintenance of SUN Accounts System, including set-up of new analysis codes, exchange rates, business rules.
• Provide systems training to finance system users.
• Support of iPOS Procurement System, including catalogues, items and approval hierarchies.
• Logging and resolving support calls
• Applying correct use of finance systems in line with internal policies across the business
• Assistance in month end process, including report writing in Vision.

 Key Working Relationships:

• The role sits within Core Finance and reports into the Finance Systems Manager.
• It will be essential to work closely with other members of the Finance team, end users, and internal IT resource (both Malta and UK)

 Person Specification

Experience & Qualifications Required:

 Essential:

• Come from a finance background
• Good Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
• Working towards a finance qualification

 Desirable:

• Previous finance package experience e.g. SUN as a user or administrator
• Knowledge of iPOS/expense/time@work (or other procurement, expenses & timesheet systems)

 Key Skills and Attributes:

• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate processes clearly and concisely within the business are essential.
• A willingness to learn harnessed with a pro-active personality and a good work ethic are equally vital.
• A team player willing to work in a fast paced environment
• Team has been under resourced for a while.
• Service those users direct.
• Lead the finance systems team, support will be provided.
• Deal with the queries from Finance
• Systems for end users IPOS, expenses and time work, sun systems, flow centric - general community.Vision, Sap consolidation,
• Finance clerk, got some finance experience, computer literate studying for qualification - at the early stages of their qualifications CIMA, AAT.
• Study support would be provided
