Head of Software Services (Malta)

Our Client a reputable web application development company is looking to hire Head of Software Services

 You will be responsible for managing a young, highly skilled and energetic team of developers creating exciting, new, web-based software.  Your responsibilities will include:

•     Managing Studio workflow
•     Implementing new Technology standards and development procedures
•     Managing project implementation using an Agile methodology
•     Development work
•     The vast majority of software development will be web based

 The selected candidate will have a degree in computer sciences, as well as specific qualifications in Microsoft technologies (ex. MCTS or equivalent).  At least 4 years experience in a similar position is mandatory.  The following skills are also required:

•     High degree of proficiency in C#.NET and the .NET framework (version 3)
•     SQL Server 2005 - administration, stored procedures, etc.
•     Development methodologies such as SCRUM
•     Proper development techniques including Unit testing, version control, code reviews, etc.
•     Candidates who possess the following will be looked upon favourably: (a) Experience in E-commerce and banking applications, (b) Technologies such as Silverlight, Ajax, .NET Flash, etc. (c) Project management methodology qualifications
