Java Developers

Our Client a telecoms company is hiring Java Developers.

Requirements:

BSc. in Computer Sciences or equivalent
Strong programming skills
Practical experience with web application development
Experience in database design and SQL
Development experience in a Unix/Linux environment is a plus
Experience with C++, Javascript, and/or SOAP will be considered an asset
Knowledge of session management, object relational mapping, XML web services and agile development methodologies desired.

Key responsibilities may include:

Works independently within set guidelines for development of high quality code and SOA artifacts.
Certify code for quality, maintainability, and performance.
Coordinates with the Requirements team, Application Development team and Programming teams where applicable.
Determines schedule of delivery for own work effort and provides input into application work plan.
Coordinates with Technical Architecture team to provide input to the overall and future state of the application and coordinates work with other Software Developers on and across Applications.
Participates, reviews, and approves code documentation for structured peer reviews / walkthroughs.
Maintains skills in technology areas required by solutions and helps educate/train staff.

Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
Excellent Java development skills
Some experience in .NET
Some experience with testing methodologies (e.g. unit testing, automated testing, etc)
Experience building and familiarity with SOA solutions and concepts.
Understanding of software development activities and processes.
Ability to work with others
Highly-energetic
Good relationship building skills.
Must feel comfortable asking questions and seeking out information as needed.
